Not Just a Job
Meet Steve Sheffield
Over 3000 Completed Inspections!
Hometown Inspection Services, LLC’s owner, Steve Sheffield, is honored to play a role in helping you decide where to call home. He takes pride in giving you all the information you need to choose the home of your dreams — a place where you can feel safe and sound for years to come.
During his 16 years as a home inspector, Steve has completed more than 3,000 inspections. He has almost 50 years of experience in the building industry and is known for being thorough and professional. As an American Society of Home Inspectors (ASHI) Certified Inspector, Steve has passed rigorous examinations to achieve ASHI’s highest level of certification. In everything he does, he aims for excellence.
Steve started out in the construction industry in high school. He was a junior when he joined his father in the lumber supply business. Steve worked his way up, and for 30 years he found himself at the center of the building industry, supplying raw materials to homebuilders and other contractors. Working with his customers to solve problems and comply with standards, Steve developed a deep knowledge of building industry practices, so moving into the home inspection business was a natural next step.
Today, as founder of Hometown Inspection Services, LLC, Steve enjoys explaining the ins and outs of their future homes to his clients. Above all, he likes being of service, and he feels that a good home inspection is truly valuable. Hometown Inspection Services, LLC is proud to offer a wide array of services for everyone from buyers to sellers to new homeowners.
For Steve, inspecting homes and exceeding customer expectations isn’t just his job; it’s his passion.
Outside of business hours, Steve enjoys doing handyman work around his own home, as well as boating, fishing, and golfing. He also likes to travel, but Steve is quick to admit there’s no place quite like home.
